ReliabilityMeasured
The makes fielding the most reliable line-ups
Ranked by the share of a make's models that earn an A or B reliability grade at age 7, BMW leads with 100% (53/53 models).
100%
BMW models graded A/B
Each model is graded from its real MOT failure hazard relative to the market at the same age and mileage — not from reputation. Only makes with at least five graded models are ranked, so a one-model brand can't top the list on a single data point. One honest caveat: at age 7 this partly reflects survivorship — costlier cars that reach this age in the MOT pool tend to be the well-kept survivors, which can flatter premium marques. See methodology.
